Beauty Skin Care

Head to toe beauty begins with healthy and nourished skin. This can come from the right choices in bath cosmetics and spa skin care products, but the real key is being sure to use or apply them properly.

Beauty skin care includes cleaning, pretecting and moisturizing

For truly effective beauty and skin care to occur an individual has to make a habit of keeping their skin supplied with the most rejuvenating and beneficial ingredients. This is where any "pros and cons" about spas and crèmes come in. A manufacturer may make claims about the benefits of their product's ingredients, but it may actually contain materials that make it hard for the skin to do its work. For example, some commercially manufactured crème cosmetics contain heavy amounts of mineral oil or other petroleum based materials. These coat the skin like a thin film and prevent toxins from being eliminated and the skin from functioning properly.

Clearly beauty and skin care can occasionally be at odds, and a wise consumer will know how to read the ingredients and identify anything that could cause a problem. It is important to remember that not only facial cosmetics can come with harmful ingredients, and many bath cosmetics or spa skin care products can also present inaccurate claims based on a few good ingredients that might be spoiled by an equal number of bad ones. Among those to avoid are mineral oil, petroleum, paraffin, talc and alcohol. Additionally, some products with lanolin and collagen are also of questionable benefit.

Pros & Cons of traditional bath supplies and specialty bath cosmetics

Wait, aren't all of those items naturally occurring? Yes they are, and this is how there are actually "pros and cons" in spa and crème treatments. Let's look at the lanolin; it is naturally occurring but it is woolen-based which can cause sensitive skin to develop rashes. This is the primary reason why each consumer must understand what an ingredient can do, and what it means for them.

Of course it does help to know what the difference is between spa skin care products and more traditional bath supplies. Many spas exist, and they tend to offer some of the more ancient and proven skin treatments. This generally includes facials, mud baths, steam treatments and specialty bath and cosmetics goods.

What has also happened is that many spas create their own special formulas which contain fresh ingredients that larger commercial manufacturers may not be able to supply. Many believe that more authentic beauty and skin care comes from the regular use of such formulas, and this can be true, but only if the ingredients are beneficial and the products used regularly.
