Fruits, Palms and Trees |

|
The size of my garden limits the amount of trees, palms and other big plants. A small one, very nice to look at and at last even very useful is my Pineapple plant. They have large rosettes and their leaves are sharply toothed. The flower which will later become a delicious fruit is purple. After we cut off the mature fruit, we plant the top leaves of the fruit again. In Bali's great climate and soil this will become the next pineapple plant. An other very useful plant is the Banana, which creates lots of new banana plant all around. We have in Bali many different kinds of bananas. The tastes are very different; some even have to be cooked. Bananas can become up to 8 meters tall. They have a beautiful flower, which will create the fruit approximately one or one and half year after the shoot appears from the rootstock. |
